The free movement of construction products in the EEA is stipulated by the Construction Products Regulation - Regulation (EU) No 305/2011, which lays down harmonised conditions for the marketing of construction products, obliging this type of products to comply with the following basic requirements of construction works:
The application of CE marking in the windows, doors and façades sector is done according to the following classification standards, which support the completion of the declaration of performance for each product:
Windows and doors. Product standard, performance characteristics. Part 1: Windows and external pedestrian doorsets.

The affixing of the CE marking by the manufacturer on his products is evidence that they are in conformity with the requirements set out in the Construction Products Regulation and fit for use, being allowed to circulate freely in the Community.
